Late Victorian carved oak standard lamp

Late Victorian hand carved oak standard lamp (Circa 1890). The oak was originally gilt with a yellow or mustard velvet covering on the column sections, which has worn beautifully to provide a wonderful shabby-chic style patina. Rewired with new bulb holder. This lovely lamp stands 166cm tall (excluding bulb) and the domed base is 30cm wide.
